Autism Academy Level I
Teachers will receive training on how to educate students with Autism. Topics will include:
1. Characteristics
2. Communication Skills
3. Social Skills
4. Behavior Management

Autism Academy Level II
Participants should have completed Level I to register for Level II
Participants will continue to gain knowledge and skills in the area of autism to become system/school experts.

Local Special Ed Dircetors meet the fourth Thursday of each month to discuss current issues in Special Education.

HB671 Exceptional Children
Required course for Georgia Certification. Assists teachers in understanding legal issues involving IDEA and Section 504. Teachers will learn characteristics of and strategies for teaching students with disabilities.
